The Sweetness At The Bottom Of The Pie, by Alan Bradley.
I picked this book up the other week at a bookstore, mainly because I liked the cover. It’s a young adult novel about a young named Flavia, who has a passion for poison. I just started it and it will probably be a while before I’m finished, but so far I’m liking it. It seems smart and mysterious and has a interesting protagonist, and it is chalked full of chemistry! I’ve really been on a Young Adult Fiction kick recently; I’ve been ploughing my way through the A Series Of Unfortunate Events series, and reading the classics like, Anne Of Green Gables, Treasure Island, The Secret Garden etc. Basically I’ve been avoiding reading my philosophy texts, by reading a bunch of kids stories.
